One of the oldest churches in the state, The Champakulam Church was established
by St. Thomas and is one of the seven churches established by him in the state
of Kerala. The annual festival held here in the month of October is a major

Sri Krishna Temple
Sri Krishna Temple at Ambalappuzha is situated at a distance of 15 km from Alappuzha.
The temple built in a traditional Keralan architectural style is famous for
the beautiful paintings and murals that adorn the inner walls.

By Air - The nearest airport is at Cochin, about 85 km from
Alappuzha.
By Rail - Alappuzha has a railway station, 5 km from the beach,
which connects it to all the major cities in and outside the state, through
a number of express, super fast and passenger trains.

cities in the state and also to other cities around Alappuzha.
